Two-parent lookup and target-first lookup solve different questions

Choose the direction that matches the question

A two-parent lookup answers: what offspring will these two Pals produce? A target-first lookup answers: which direct parent pairs can produce the Pal I want?

The first is useful when you already own a pair. The second is useful when planning toward a target. Mixing them in one unstructured table makes both tasks slower.

The Palworld 1.0 breeding calculator provides both directions and labels its dataset version. It intentionally does not claim to optimize passives, IVs, mutations, cake cost, or inventory routes.

Start with the species relationship, then solve the optimization problem separately.
